Maintenance Advice:

  • Attach filter to storage tank fitting on inlet marked “IN”. Attach hose and nozzle to filter opening marked “OUT”.
  • Do not exceed 100PSI internal pressure on unit.
  • Do not tighten filter cap using the filter bowl for leverage.
  • Apply wrench to flat surfaces in center part of filter cap ONLY to tighten or remove. See illustration.
  • Apply a coat of clean oil to the FA2N Gasket when installing the filter on the tank and each time the plastic bowl is removed. This will help to insure a better seal between the cap and the bowl.
  • Visually check filter element for replacement. Change filter element when dirty or when flow is restricted. To replace filter element, unscrew filter bowl and unscrew filter element and replace. Hand Tighten Only.
  • Install a shut-off valve between tank and filter and keep closed except when withdrawing fuel. This unit is not to be used unattended for safety reasons.
  • When replacing filter element, always use a PF10N element only.
